Leather wheel

The leather on my steering wheel has lost it's shining surface from wear, after only 137,000. All my other cars have kept there shine. What can I do to get the shine back short of buying a new wheel. I don't want to recover it as the cover is tight.

One nice trick that most auto upholsters use is black shoe polish. I have always used it on my steering wheels, makes them look like new.

Try the liquid polish, works best.

I have this same problem on my steering wheel as well as my auto shifter. Steve ("400E") replied with a solution awhile back; maybe he can elaborate a bit more on how close to the original finish he restored.

Here's the post:

New leather shifter -- 300E

Good luck!

Worn steering wheel

Try the following product:
Tarrago Dyes
Color Dye Tintura Autobrillante
It's made in Spain, and can be purchased from a good shoe repair shop.
