Do I need to Change the injector for this?
I am tracing down a vacuum leak. My injector seals are the only things i did not change after the head gasket....
I am changing the seals now, but one of my injectors has a partially broken pintle cap...i can't find these, and i am not sure if they have any affect on the performance? the seals are very dry and I am sure they were the source of the leak..... http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/a...Q/IMG_4198.jpg http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/a...Q/IMG_4199.jpg It does not seem to me to be essential for sealing as the rubber seal is what seals the pressure.... what do you guys think? Thanks, |
If there is no vacuum leak I would think you are OK to use it as is.

Bill was very helpful.... a couple of dollars for these, got new caps and spacers within two days....the fit is perfect !!!!! they came with directions and there are some videos on his website...great stuff !!! http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/a...Q/IMG_4251.jpg Might be helpful for some of you...the old caps were so brittle, they broke upon touching them.....much better now... |
