Wiper help needed
All:
My sister just left here car at my house due to the wiper extending too far and getting stuck in the windscreen trim. I did a search and found a fix for a slow wiper, however, I didn't notice a fix for a wiper that extends too far. Can this be repaired? Will using a shorter blade actually work? Or will the entire unit need to be replaced? Thank you in advance, Mark |

Ask her if she recently changed either the wiper blade or its rubber insert. I recently bought a generic replacement at Wal-Mart and it was not the right size. And the OEM Bosch blade attachment point (to the arm) is offset from the middle.
Had good luck with the Bosch replacement blade sold here on FastLane. Even then I had to know the chassis number. Ken300D 1987 300D with mono-wiper |
