where is the transmission control module for 97 c230 located?
 

installed a known good transmission, still pulling code po730.

where is the tcm located? received conflicting info, some say in engine compartment by engine control unit, others say under the center shift console.

where the engine control unit is, i do not see any other uit except the traction control unit.

if it is under the shifter, how do i remove?

I believe it is below the shifter. Not sure how to remove it but someone else will be able to help

It's in the right side of the engine compartment.

I'm pretty sure it's under a false floor panel in the front passenger footwell on my '97 C36AMG, and I don't know why it would be anywhere else on any W202.
