1981 280ce cabriolet hard to start when warm
hi everyone! need to figure out why it is hard to start warm. where is the fuel filter? this is my first w123. love it. great driver very solid, no cowl shutter or shakes. idles with a slight miss every few secounds. nice when under way.

I would look at the fuel accumulator. It helps to hold fuel pressure and aids the engine when starting warm. A quick search on the forums should bring up where to find it, but I would guess that it is underneath the car near the fuel tank.

I just had that problem on my '92 300CE. After replacing the crankshaft sensor it turned out to be my EZL, which I replaced. No problems since then but I don't know if you have one on that model year.
