anyone ever replace the oil pan gasket on a 560SL?
I was quoted a cost of 16 hours of labor just to get to the oil pan gasket on a 1987 560SL which has some oil seepage.
Was wondering if that's a realistic time estimate? never done one before, just wondering if others in this forum had the pleasure. dom chang

SL OIL LEAK
DOM;
16 hours seems a little high but it is a lot of work. The front suspension has to come off and the a/c compressor and smog pump have to come off just to remove the pan. Unless you have a hoist at home this is probably not a do it yourself job. MF |
