Fuse #7 keeps blowing - Help!
I have a 1987 Mercedes 560SL with 78k miles. Fuse #7 blows almost immediately after I turn the key after changing it. Someone on the board told me that the common culprit there is usually the washer heaters, so I disconntect them at the heater plugs near the washers. The fuses are still blowing.
Does anyone know the 2nd most common reason these fuses blow? I don't even know where to start. Thank you SO much to anyone that can help. Brit |
What does the chart inside the fuse box lid say is served by fuse 7?
One of the other common culprits is the trunk light, when it's power wiring on the left trunk lid hinge gets worn through and starts shorting out on the frame of the trunk near the hinge. I don't know the 560's wiring though, so I can't say if that's something that would be applicable to your car. |
