87 560SEC rich running
My 87 560SEC was running rough and then finally stopped running due to a blocked cat. It was red hot. I decided to run cut the cat off and then try to run the car. But I cannot seem to get it to run right. It keeps (what appears to me) to be flooding out.
But when I dial back the mixture, it would refuse to start. The symptoms are as follows. You would start the car and it would run rough. You would rev it and it would be hard to rev and miss Eventually it would smooth out when you leave it at idle, it would run smooth for about a minute and then start running rough. It's starting to drive me bonkers. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. |
Start by checking fuel pressure! Sounds like a clogged fuel filter or dying pumps to me.

So I figured out why my SEC wasn't running right with the kind help of David Poole or European Performance.
