05 e350 changed RF bearings and seal abs light on
Sorry it's an 06. I changed the bearings and seal and now the abs light comes on after about thirty feet. Apparently the grease seal is also the tone ring for the wheel speed sensor. I put a new seal in from Mercedes, and cleared the codes, but the light comes back on. The code is, "check RF wheel speed sensor." I then switched the front sensors, cleared the code, and it still says RF. I think the problem is something about installing the grease seal. Is there a special procedure or tool required? Any help is appreciated.

You must not use any thing metallic when installing that type of seal.
Either use wood or plastic against the seal. Also if the bearing isn't all the way on the, the clearance will be too great.
