w126 rear window chrome trim
hello everyone,
Soon here I am goin to have the rear window of my gold car resealed/replaced and the rust (if any) repaired. I was wondering if anyone knew of a source for replacement chrome trim? A failed attempt at sealing the leak (back in the day) has left some mighty gross looking brown sealant on the passenger side lower piece. I might just ask the shop thats gonna do the work to see if its possible to clean the chrome strip but I figured it never hurts to ask...

I'm not the expert on this vintage MB (you're talking about the '82 300SD?), but the EPC shows only 1 trim piece across the bottom of the rear window pane, which it identifies as "Frame". P/N 126-678-14-30. That part apparently is still available and can be bought online for around $90-$95.
