Part number search
Hi-
I purchased a pair of European H4 headlamps for what were described and I mistakenly took them as 124 lights. Well they're not. Part Numbers- 0 301 065 105 (left unit) 0 301 065 310 (right unit) I've searched here to no avail. Could someone please help me identify these lights? THanks.http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/P6230475.jpg |
Anyone?

Here is an example of a correct Mercedes headlight part numbers. Left headlight assembly, Chassis: W126.120 MB# 126 820 03 59 Right headlight assembly, Chassis: W126.120 MB# 126 820 04 59 |
I pulled the numbers directly off the lights themselves. They're Bosch units. Is it possible the numbers are Bosch specific? Maybe I'll snap a picture or two and we can identify by eye?

Yes

Those numbers are Hella specific. :( |
No need to apologize! I'll shoot some pics, upload them here and get some opinions.

I just uploaded a picture. Let's see if we can get these HLs identified!

maybe 126 or 201? Cant tell size exactly. I'd think if their too big for the 124, then the're probably 126 lights. If they're too small for the 124, then probably 201.

This is W201 EU lights. You can see the 2 slots in a side of them (top and bottom), they are for the indicators to go in and hold them as a package. You should sell them no problem here in the US, someone will love to have them for his/hers 190.

I'm pretty sure all the headlamps have the slots on the side to hold the turn indicators.
This is a picture of w126 headlamps http://img18.imageshack.us/i/sklassezs8.jpg/ taken from this thread: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/sale-wanted-trade-giveaway/1425685-fs-w126-euro-headlights-bosch.html |
Those are Bosch numbers
The 0 301 065 105 is MB number 126-820-73-61 (W126 euro chassis 1980-85) The 0 301 065 310 is MB number 126-820-90-61 (W126 euro chassis 1986-91) |

Your posting rise a question, are they gonna fit if they are for 2 different years? Looks like one is before and one after face lift ? |
I believe the later years (86+) had wiper motors on the attaching to the bottom of them. So either conversion to the euro wiper is necessary or fabrication of a bracket to connect the lights to the chassis is necessary. But overall the lights will mount up, you'll just have issue fixing the bottom mount. At least this was the case on my friends 90' 300SE. I've only installed them on first generation 126s and have had no problem mounting.

So the consensus is W126, then? Interesting note that they may be from different model years as they look identical side by side including any wear they have. Thanks to all for their help.
