Engine fan free spinning
The fan attached the the motor freespins when the engine is off.
I feel some resistance, but otherwise I can keep turning it, and it does not "lock" like I have read it should. When the engine is on and warm, if I pop the hood the fan spins of course, and I feel gushes of hot air coming from it. Is this ok, or something may be wrong? Two years ago I changed the thermostat. Last month a coolant flush. Maximum temp I have driven it in was 35 deg C and maximum temp it has reached is about 90 deg C

Sounds like it is working correctly.
Saving power & then working only when demanded.

I was reading that when cold and engine off, I shouldn't be able to spin it more than a turn or two?
