1990 300 E 2.6 question

I have recently acquired a new car. However there is a bad side. The car does not start, the PO has put in a new battery, starter and alternator. I pick it up soon but am looking to get a little jump start.

Thanks

Fuel Pump Relay / OVP relay?

Crank Position Sensor?

Fuel Pumps, Accumulator, Fuel Pressure Regulator?

Ignition EZL Module?

That should about cover it, in order of likeliness. :)

Does it even turn over? If there is a new battery, starter and alternator it sounds like it wouldn't have enough juice to crank.

Thanks, I was thinking the Crank sensor. I will get to look more closely soon. What is the best way to test the fuel relay/OVP(?) relay?

If you turn the key to "on" with all the warning lights illuminated, you should be able to easily hear the fuel pumps running for a few seconds. If you do not hear the system priming, the relay/pump is suspect. You can try jumpering two of the pins where the FPR plugs in (do a search) to see if the relay is at fault.

There is no easy way to test an OVP. But it doesn't typically stop the car from starting, but it can make it very hard to start. So check the fuel pump relay first.

Start with the basics, are the plugs wet? If yes, move on, if not go to the distributor and see if it has pressure...etc...
Do the plugs have spark? If not check rotor, cap, coil...etc...

Go in a logical order before 'guessing' items. Guessing can end up costing you a ton of money.
