I am on it. Found a O2 sensor for 160.00 $ at the place I work. I will check the parts connection here on the board.
Thanks for your help, I hope this works out.

. . Art. what's wrong here?

E320: 1994-95: BODY-124.032/052: ENG-104.992 HFM: TRANS-722.369: Steering-765.904

Is the above info correct for '94 E320? If so, two blinks is not the O2 sensor but the engine coolant temperature (ECT)sensor according to the reference for that year and model.

I've sent you and Mino that PDF file. You guys figure it out and let me know.

124.032 for 1991 thru 1993: code is O2 sensor
124.032 for 1994 thru 1995: code is ECT
.

Go figure!

Jim.

My charts show #2 as etc sensor only if I get codes from the HMF-SFI module. Which, on the 94/95 chassis 124.032, is gotten from pin #8 on the diagnostic box.
As you know,The led/sw is emmission/ck eng light codes only and all my charts show 2 flashes as 02 sensor.
I will do some further checking and get back to you on it.
Arthur

Here is what I found.
94 E320- 124.032 , 104.992 eng. with OBD led/sw .
All 124.032 with check eng lamp/obd DTC module
N-59 [ emissions] have an:

02 sensor code of 2 flashs.

ETC sensor code 8

02 sensor heater code 12.

I have verified the code 2 on the same vehicle by purposely tripping the code by taking a short run after unplugging the 02 sensor .
So I would assume my charts to be correct.

If poster would like the codes- email me and I will send a copy...

. . .interesting data!

Your data shows that there is some 'disconnects' in that PDF that I sent you.

It shows data for the 124.034 but shows nothing for the 124.032! Check page 31 and on.

Since you have a CAR to check, you are certainly correct. So I guess that PDF may be good but one needs to fill in the 'blanks'! And there's a lot of them!

Well, the light came on again, I will check what code I get this time.
The car has 67 K on it. When I look at the BOSCH OEM spec for this O2 sensor it lists it as a 60K mile sensor only, not a 100K like the newer ones. I will replace it anyway. also ETC sensor sounds like a typical MB problem, had to do it on my 86 300E as well.
I have gotten the codes form you guys, thank you.
Still not clear what code 2 is. It sounds like O2 sensor.

Thanks a bunch for all the help.

Replaced O2 sensor. Thanks for all the help. My hats off to Jim and Arthur!

Car starts fine no more problems. In the meantime, I have discovered two different problems, which the first I have fixed (I think)

1) Aux low speed fan operation. Was checking under the fuse box, and discovered that one of the fan relays (blue relay with 15 A fuse, location B) has a blown fuse. Is the 15 A green one supposed to be on Location B and the green one 30A infront of it in location C? I replaced the fuse and the fans (low) is working now)
Is the Green one (30A) infront of the blue one (15A)? I guess the high speed dumps the load to the ceramic resistor, hence the higher amps. But the low one blew, just checking.
Also
2) Just checked for codes (curious) and found CODE 5. No MIL though. I found out that the Code refers to EGR Valve inop. I read a bunch of stuff on cleaning the pipes, I will try that as soon as I get a gasket for the EGR Valve.
Again, thanks for all your help.

I read an article somewhere that Benz recommends uping
the 15 to a 20. This car has two fans , so draws even at low [ a/c high pressure ] speed.
The high is in the temp circuit and requires the 30 as fast speed is a bigger draw.
As far as the egr code , pull a vac on it with a hand vac while at idle. If it run rough when you do, the port[ infamous port] is not plugged.
There is a change on this model egr. If you find it is the valve, email me for the literature on the new change.
