W126 Armrest
All,
I need to re-cover the armrest on my '89 300SE. I see from searching on this topic the two likely sources for covers are: Express Automotive and/or World Uphostery. Is Express Automotive still around? Anyway, the previous posts discussed how to remove the seat back and the armrest. What I want to know is with the armrest removed and a replacement cover in hand, is that a DIY project or should I line up a uphostery shop to do the re-covering? Thanks Jeff |

Express Automotive, the upholstery people, no longer have their website or phone #, so I assume they are kaput. Express Automotive, the body parts people, are alive and well, but hopefully you won't need a new fender.

Thanks.
We elected to try one of the Byrd armrest/drink holder combinations. They say it will take a week or so to manufacture, but we still may get it before Christmas. Has anyone had any experience with the Byrd armrests? Thanks Jeff |
