Angry Does anyone have any tricks.....I am desperate!

This is for the '85 500SEL (126). Have a problem...Or do I?

Is there any tricks to reattaching the vacuum line(s) on the throttle valve switch w/o having to remove the entire air intake/fuel distributor assembly on top? One of the lines (black) goes to the purge valve and the other to the thermovalve.

I have spend countless time and calories trying to come up with a solution. My only choice is to remove the air guide housing, air flow sensor and fuel distributor so I can get a hand down there.

OR DOES IT REALLY MATTER IF THEY ARE CONNECTED AT ALL?????

YES they do need to be connected. Removal of the whole air flow housing is the only way that I know of to do that.

If you have to go through all that trouble, now would be a good time to replace the line with a new one.
