It is the same one. You have the same 112 engine as W210's.

The part mentioned listed these Mercedes options:
Mercedes: M 102, M 103, 190, and 300E

That is why I asked as it does not state the 112 engine or the E320 either the W210 or my W211.

http://www.toolsource.com/74mm-filter-wrench-chrysler-ford-mazda-mercedes-toyota-0219-p-98868.html

This tool (different model) from the same web site states it is for the 1998-2006 Mercedes all models with V6 or V8.

This is a different tool.

Which one is the correct one for my V6 M112, W211 04 E320?

Easier to make sure here than return the wrong one and exchange it

Either one will work. I believe the 2175 was the original model. If you order from the dealer, I believe you get 74.5 mm / 14 flute.

Promise you won't laugh but I just looked under the 04 E320 and could not see a drain plug for the oil.
Do I have to remove a panel? Which one.
And, how easy is this just jacking up the car and putting it on stands?

W210's and I assume W211's come with plastic panels (usually 2) on the underside. Some times called anti-noise panels. To change the oil the old fashioned way you'll need to remove the front one. There are 4 fasteners near the centerline. Two near the bumper and two at the engine cross member. The rear two are shared by the smaller second panel. In addition there are 3 near the front of each wheel. 8mm socket or wench.

The drain plug is on the right side of lower oil pan. If you are going to drain pick up a seal from dealer. Goes under drain plug. Torque is 30Nm and size is 13mm. Torque on filter housing is 25Nm.

Jack stands are fine but use on a hard level surface such as concrete. Also. chock one on the wheels on the ground in both directions. If you don't have hard level surface, then ramps are a safer choice. In a pinch, some people drive one front wheel up on to a curb to gain some clearance. Depends on the neighborhood.:D

Thanks RM98 for the excellent directions.

Much appreciated and copied to my E320 folder for safe keeping.
