SLK and C Class Service Campaign

Heads up....I just found out about a service campaign for my 2001 SLK230. I called my dealer and my car is included so I'll take it in next week. My service adviser stated that notices would not be sent out for this.

Service Campaign 2009100001 DEC09 oil may enter the engine wiring harnesses dealers will replace the camshaft adjustment solenoids and install additional adapter connector harnesses. Have your dealer check VMI to see if your vehicle is included in this campaign if so repair is covered by MB at no cost to owner. Approximately 66,113 vehicles are affected.

Service campaigns are just that. That campaign should have been an emission recall but isn't.

Only valid if you go to the dealer.

There are 100's of various "service campaigns" for all kind of problems.

For those not paying attention, this is for the FOUR CYLINDER 230 models ... which explains why it's only SLK and C-class.
