Zimmerman Brake Rotors
My local parts shop only has Zimmerman brake rotors. It's less than half the price of the Mercedes part.
Are these any good? |

I run their drilled rotors on my 300CE twin turbo. What is interesting about their "drilled" rotors, is that the holes are part of the casting. This reduces any chance of stress cracking. Very reasonably priced. Excuse the surface rust...car has been sitting for over a year !!! http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...IDEBODY038.jpg Ed A. |
So I should not have any worries buying and installing this in my car?
How come there is so much rust there on your hub? And, are all Zimmermann rotors drilled? Thanks for the quick reply |
I have Zimmermans on the front of my car. They have been excellent. However still if I had to do it again I'd get whatever the Mercedes Benz dealer sells, just for the peace of mind. Those little holes don't do much anyway.

So all the zimmermann rotors have those holes in them? I rather not have them
Are they felt through the brake pedal at all? |
Not all do, we stock Zimmermann's at work for Bimmers, excellent rotors and value. I put some on my SD. We stocked them, Brembo's, Balo, Ate, BMW, and Fremax. Zimm's and Fremax are the best. Brembo = worst, had them warped brand new from the box.
As said there "drilled" ones are nice. |
Thanks for the help everyone, at least I can buy them without needing to worry too much.
