O2 Sensor
I wanted to check with you if there was a maintenance schedule on the M103from Mercedes? Like milage or anything when it was to be replaced. I have a 1991 190E & wanted to know if the mustang O2 Sensor would work in it like the 1993 190E someone mentioned they used it on? Also, what kind of telltale signs the O2 Sensor might effect on the cars persormance etc?

when your gas mileage tanks...time to replace.
easy diy.... you can get generic bosch... i think about 30-35 dollars |
Usually around 100k miles...At $35 if you have any thought that it could be original, I'd replace it. If it is getting old the refresh rate could be slowing. You can always probe it and see whats going on although it may be easier just to replace it.
1990 Mustang GT Bosch sensor ~$35. |
Do you just need to make sure on the bosch replacement that if mines a 3 wire the one replacing is a 3 wire & cut the wires to match the original one on the length?

Bosch O2 sensors come in 3 distinct recommended replacement intervals - 30k, 60k and 100k miles. Yours is a 60k.

Will that same Mustang O2 sensor work for a m116?
One of our 420s is using quite a bit more gas, and it's about time to figure out why. Will be getting a Mustang one for our 300SE sometime soon though. |
