Car stalls when shifting (auto trans)
 

This morning and again when my wife was coming home from work this afternoon, our 1986 420SEL stalled when she shifted from reverse into drive. She was backing out of the garage this morning and out of the parking spot this afternoon, and when she shifted into drive the engine stalled out. Any ideas?

Be sure to check the overvoltage relay. IF it is not a new version, I'd order one from FastLane and replace it.
