Torque Converter... Broken/Loose Blade???
Hey Everyone,
I'm looking into purchasing a 99 C43. The owner says it recently developed a "noise" that he thinks is coming from the torque converter. He says it drives and shifts just fine but says when the car is in neutral or reverse it makes a "clinking" noise. He seems to think it's a loose blade in the torque converter that is rattling.... He says the noise gets lower as RPM increases. Anyone ever heard of this happening? Could it be anything else? Thanks! Adam

unless i miss my guess that is one of the early 722.6 trans.known to be problematic.if i were buying that car i would figure about $2750.00 to have it overhauled and updated.

Yeah, I decided against that one... While the price was good, Too much of a concern to consider it.
Thanks! Adam
