EZL ICM (ignition control modul/unit)
Hi
What is the difference between the various ICMs? I have been provided with several part#s, but for the cost$$$$ do not want to get the wrong item. Need one (so I have been told) for a 87 560SL VIN# WDBBA48D3HA072769 Part #s 0227 400 693 0227 400 600 0227 400 624 003 545 9132 004 545 5532 W0133-1597063 Help!!!!!! |
On that car...almost any other V8 EZL from 1986-91 will work just fine!

These things are all over the junkyards.

Thanks for the reply.
After having spend $$$$$ for everything from Fuel distributor, complete Tune-up/wires etc, fuel injectors, AMM etc, I am at wits and $$$ end. I hope this is the last item, and my 560 will run smooth, as my 380SL. I'll keep you informed. |
I would suggest you tell us what kind of problem you have. There is a lot of knowledge on this board. Sounds like so far it is a case of throw parts at is until it runs corectly.

If they are both V-8"s, and what a previous poster mentioned about the EZL's being interchangable, could you try swapping them between your cars to see if the issue follows? That is quite an expensive part to buy if it isn't the problem...

The new (used eBay $50) module did it, It runs great!!!!!!
Thanks for all your help Anyone needs a AMM for this beast? I have a brand new potentiometer that will fix yours. Ended up with more parts than I really needed. |
Thanks you did it the one I got from eBay fixed all problems.... Ignition that is.
