Hot climate option for 95 E320

I went to one of those russian VIN decoding sites and it listed my model as having a hot climate option. Is anyone familiar with this feature? I bought mine used in 2002, where it spent its whole life in Florida.

The Russian VIN site is know to be screwy with codes, but on old MB diesels the American versions had an extra oil cooler the European versions lacked.

How did you buy it used in 1992 if it's a 1995 model?

I second that; if you want the real codes/meanings, you'd be best off with the Classic Center.

I'm not 100% sure about this but I think there are some 94/95 E320's with an oil cooler. If you have this option, you should see two lines connecting the radiator and the oil filter housing. I believe the cooler is integrated into the oil filter housing.

Maybe this oil cooler was part of the hot weather option?
