85 500SL Air cleaner mount broken

There is an existing thread I posted this to, but it's pretty old and I did not get
a response. Parts suppliers only seem to have the rubber pieces with threads, no posts. I am clearly missing something. It's not a big problem but is annoying. Thanks

1985 500SL (euro) with same problem
The rubber mount (drivers side) bonding has let loose on my 85 500 SL.
I have read everything I can find here but I don't seem to understand.
The post that the rubber mount is glued to seems to be part of the valve
cover. Nothing seems to be broken, just that the adhesive has let loose.
Is there something I'm missing or do I just need to find out what kind of
adhesive to use? Does the enitre valve cover need to be replaced?
thanks
bill

Posts screw onto the threads. Unscrew the posts off your old part that came off. If you cant find it go to a bone yard and take those off.

air cleaner rubber mounts

Thanks Macdrone. It was so simple I couldn't see it. The bottom screw on the rubber moount had separated. The top of that screw is so flat and
round it appears to be part of the post and valve cover. It easily turns out and can be replaced.
