300E transmission Cooler Lines
My 1993 300E is leaking transmission fluid from the transmission cooler lines located in the front of the engine. It appears that I have two lines of the same size. Could someone explain to me how to replace the lines? Could I do it myself? My car just had transmission service 3 moinths ago (filter change). Will the transmission fluid be lost when I replace the lines?
How do I check the level of the transmission fluid? Do you check the fluid when the car is on or off? 1993 300E 2.8L with 149K. Thank you John |
You will loose about 1/2 a quart. You just use a wrench to back the lines (17mm) and crack them loose (19mm).
