Fuel door wont unlock
I have a 1992 300D and the door locks and my alarm have been acting funny, now the fuel door will not unlock. How do I unlock the fuel door?

Open the trunk, pull carpet away and pull the plunger back.

Pull carpet away on fuel door side? If yes I did and cant get to the plunger because the radio amp is in the way. Do I have to remove the amp to get to the plunger? |
Should be able to reach past it and reach around that beam to pull it back. Even with the extra amps for subs in my door in the stock system I can reach mine.
Dont reach to the right go around the left. |

Hope you get it, if you have an owners manual it has a picture on how to do it.

Yes it controls all the locks and the rear head rest release. Its expensive try and get one used. probably a leak in the vacuum/pressure tank above the gas tank.

Good luck repairing it. Radio Shack is your friend.

Well today I resoldered the bad spot and everything works now. That was really bothering me and my wife, I cant believe that controls the locks and the alarm and the radio. Yea the radio works now too.:D |
The same wire I mentioned maybe your issue mlozzi but you may also have an actuator/microswitch problem in the door lock assembly, or bent or misaligned linkage. You would have to pull the door panel to see for sure. First check that wire in the drivers kick ppanel area for seperation and get back to us.
