W124 Quick question...I hope
Hey guys,
I am installing a new (reman) transmission in my 400E today and I did something really stupid. I pulled the flywheel off the flex plate to tighten up the nuts and bolts on the reference markers for the crankshaft position sensor and failed to note how they were sitting. Is there a way to line them up with the engine at top dead center or do I have to use the trial and error method? Thanks!

Santan Transmissions they run their company off of Ebay the it ended up costing $2000 including a torque converter, valve body reprogram, and frieght charges. They also have no core charge they just require that you send yours back to them. Shipping costs also depend on location...ended up being $300 for them to ship to Washington state. Also includes a 30 month unlimited mile warranty.

there are little holes that have to line up to get the correct tdc.search the site i'm sure you'll find a picture.common problem when car has been sent to trans shop that has no clue and then won't run right.
