After looking it up, I believe you are correct. OVPs appear to have been phased out and their duty was taken up by the K40 relay. Maybe someone else can fill us in as to exactly what functions this relay handles.

Red face Oooops!

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to post a competitor's ad. I only used that because it contained a picture of the part. I'll keep who owns this site in mind in the future before posting links.

Fuel pump went out that sucks. I suggest fuel filter and check valve replacement since it all a part of the unit.

Oh hell in a 96 i have no clue. Damn i ooked at your profile and was thinking the 88. Could look under rear passenger side of car for the plastic cover that may be covering the assembly like on the 125. I know the C's are up in there not sure about the 96.

You do NOT need to remove the fuel tank to replace the pump.

Check your e-mail for further data..

Have a great day.

pin, the fuel pump and fuel filter should be located in front of the right rear tire. Three 10mm nylon nuts secure the black plastic cover which protects the fuel pump and fuel filter from road grime. Once you remove the cover everything is evident.

Before loosening the fuel pump fittings it's best to clamp the large rubber line coming from the fuel tank to reduce/eliminate gas leakage. Note the flow direction on the fuel filter and reuse the plastic sleeve on the old fuel filter if the new filter doesn't have a sleeve.
