280se
I have found a 280se that has some damage to the front that is the same color as my 300sd. It is a 116 chassis This car has 80k on it The main reason I want it is because it has manual windows and funky cloth seats. It is the normal vinyl edges that are white with blue cloth in the center The door panels are the same. It has a perfect rear Euro bumper and everything except the front is good. Is this worth 500 dolllars I believe it has the 110 six engine which I have heard is almost as good as the diesel. Just curious as to what people think.

The 110 gasser is indeed in the same league in terms of durability as the diesels. the euro pistons alone if purchased new cost over 1600 for the set, IIRC.
The 110 is fairly thirsty though.

Its really sad because it is a gorgeous car The interior is very nice. I might consider fixing it. It is the only 116 with manual windows I have ever seen. I can get it for 400 most likely.

Just curious if you ever picked this one up? I am a huge fan of the W116 euros with the M110 engine. Especially when they have cloth interior...
Anyway, cool find. |

I did buy it and it was well worth it just for the blower motor and the fact I now have heat. I will try and post some pics soon. I transferred most of the interior into mine.
