still new here??how 2 id. your engine

i ve got a 90 300 e with about 167.000. its a inline 6 in it. would it be the i guess the 3 liter, or the 2.6 liter?? i still need the torque specs. and torque pattern too. i got this car for 500 in traded work from my lawn service. i do like it , the seats and inside r nice. just needs a paint job. it was hard to get started as it sat 5 years. in this ladies driveway. but then after driving for about 2 or 3 months the head gasket went. that other site is great for pulling the head, but never saw torque specs. thanks for any help

Torque in 3 stages, starting in the middle & work out in both directions.
Make sure the bolts aren't stretched too much OR use new bolts.
oil the threads & contact washer.
1) 70Nm (about 48 ft lbs)
2) 90 deg angle rotation
3) 90 deg angle rotation

The Reinz headgasket set which I bought had the torque pattern and torque values described on an instruction sheet. I cross referenced them with an online 124 mercedes repair site and a repair manual and they were correct.
