Thrust Washer

722.311 trans has a large thrust washer (with locating prongs) at the very beginning of assembly which sits in the bottom of the case.

Anyone know the part number or what I am talking about.

Will photo if necessary.

God Bless
John

Not sure what you're talking about. Maybe the anti-rattle clip for the reverse clutch?

Just thought of something else. If by bottom you mean at the rear of the main case, before installing the geartrain assembly, there is a bronze thrust washer there that the locating key on the washer will fit into a recess in the case. Don't have EPC handy at the moment to look for a part number.

That's it, the bronze thrust washer at the rear, is that a dealer only item and if you could find the number it would be much appreciated.

THANKS

Took a couple of guesses as to what car you had, but came up with a 500SEL using the 722.311 trans. The part number is 126 272 22 62. All other 722.3 transmissions I looked at use the same part. Probably going to have to go to the dealer for that.
