Sporadic Idle
I have a 1993 300E W124. It rans great unti recently. Every so often when idling in gear, the engine / tach studders (for lack of a better term) very brief and recovers immediately. Then it won't do it for about another 20 to 30 seconds. Some days it doesn't do it at all, other days its as Ive described above. It did stall out once recently while sitting in traffic.
Some one stated I should replace / clean the idle air control to clear up the problem. I've read other posts that stated the location of the iac was in the throttle body / intake, another stated it was located under the air filter container, another stated it was located top of the engine infront of the throttle body. Anyone have an idea where the idle air control is located? Thanks in advance |

There is no IAC valve on the M104 series engine. When was the car last serviced? Do you know if the electronic throttle actuator (ETA) is original to the car?

Appears the electronic throttle actuator (ETA) is original to the car.
