Haynes manual. Anything better??
I have a Haynes manual and it doesn't cover my car very well in the electrical wiring departmant (so I think). It stops at 1984 when the manual's front cover says it covers all the way to 1985 (and there are no pages missing). My chassis number is 123.193. The only wire diagram in the manual is for a 1981 300TD 123.193. Are the wiring diagrams for that chassis number the same through 1985?

The best manuals are the ones from MB themselves. Call the 800 # above to see what the parts shop can sell you. On the 2 disk CD set, there is:
- Chassis & Body Manual - Engine manual - Electrical Troubleshooting - Climate control - Maintenance That's pile about 1 foot thick. Quite more than the little haynes book. -CTH |

The problem with the Haynes manual for the W123 series is that it was printed in England. You'll notice that some of the wiring diagrams are for UK models. Haynes and even Chilton manuals are general manuals. The offical MB manuals would be best of course.
