1997 e320 battery location
where is the battery located? its not visible when you raise the hood and i dont want to start taking off plastic to find it. any help appreciated.

It's under the back seat. There are two tabs on either side of the rear seat cushion (bottom)... they are at the ends, where you open the door, you should see the tabs right near the carpeting (but in the cushion). Push (or pull?) those two tabs to remove the rear seat. There you will find your battery and vacuum pump.
