300TE Valve Seals or Valve Job
Auto: 1992 300TE 4matic 126,000 mi. Carefully maintained.
Challenge: Needs Water Pump, Power Steering Secondary Tank? for 4matic & rear shocks leaking, Engine Mounts, and the 4matic problem. Mechanic says my 3 qts of oil consumed in 3000 miles screams valve job. How much should valve seal replacement labor cost? In doing a complete valve job for oil consumption, are they removing head completely, sending it out, cleaning parts and replacing as necessary? Any input is greatly appreciated. Jersey Jeff
