low compression m110 engine?
I have seen several references to a low compression m110 engine in my haynes manual. The compression in my engine is around 100psi. I think the high compression rating is 175psi. Does anyone know what the low compression rating is?
The number stamped on the engine block is 153624. I would really appreciate anybody's input. Jeff 1980 280e 129K |

Jeff,
The 110.xxx number will be a better indicator of your engine's static compression than the serial number. I can't decipher the code, but maybe someone with an M110 engine manual can help. If it's a US car, then expect it to have about as low compression as MB ever made. 100psi is pretty low even for a low copression engine. Sixto |
