bulb replacement e420 temp console
 

The light on the temp control console on my 97 e420 went out. Now I have hard time just turning on the defroster or changing the temperature at night. Can anybody tell me how to get to the bulb ? Thanks and Happy Holidays!!:confused:

I think you will have to pull the pushbuttons out with a set of radio keys. Then the bulb should be visible.
(some are behind one of the buttons, then some are on the front board, I can't remember which yours are.)

Yes, MB tools Donnie refers to, "radio keys" are inserted into the slots in the lower corners of the climate control panel to remove the control unit. The light bulb is in a base that plugs into the center of the control unit. The keys are available from MB, or else I am sure a dealer will let you borrow them if you bring the car in, then you can buy the bulb while you're there.
