Heat Loss at Floor Vents? [Solution]
 

Hello everyone,

This is just a friendly FYI, This seems to be a common problem, at least to me..both of my SD's have had this happen..

No heat to the floor in normal heating mode.

Check your defroster vent, see if heat is coming out of there..

The problem is either the dash pod is bad OR the arm has broken loose from the flap itself.

On my two SD's the pod's arm broke out of the plastic retainer on the control flap.

Hopefully this helps some one out there with a heating issue.

This is probably applicable to all Mercedes up to the late 90s...
