What's the best manual for 124?

I want to pick up a DIY manual for my 95 wagon. What's the best one for this model?

Thanks - H

I don't think there are any aftermarket manuals for Mercedes after model year 1985. I know Haynes prints one for the W123 series, but I don't think they have printed ones for any newer models. I am not sure about Chiltons. The best of course would be the MB CD.

Actually the best manual is the one you never have to use:) :) . Seriously, Haynes does produce a manual for the 124 with sections on the wagon. However, there is not a lot of meat in this book.

There is a pretty good deal going on EBay for a Haynes manual for the W124 chassis. It is euro-centric, but has some useful pictures and information on routine maintenance. Also covers some engine repair.

Go to EBay motors and use the advanced search function. Search on "124" in the parts section only. I suggest you use the "words to exclude" to enter "fiat" as the Fiat 124 is a popular model. :)

EBay seller "cybertroll.com" sells this hardcover book for $20.99 routinely. Don't bid it up - another will come along shortly.

I have this book and the Mercedes CDROM and feel pretty well equipped - along with the tremendous help available here......
