ABS Issue w124 e420
I'm having intermittent ABS issues. Upon random starts, the ABS light will come on and stay on for the duration of the trip until the car is shut off and restarted. Sometimes it'll take a few restarts for the light to go out but it's pretty random. When the ABS light is on, the ABS system does NOT function. There's no pump self test either. Now, the ABS socket scan shows a code 11 which is a "solenoid valves relay" problem. I pulled the ABS sensors and cleaned them off with no result. (the tracked grooves on the wheel hub looked pretty clean also) Anyone have any insight/direction for this problem?
Thanks everyone!!

I believe that the 420 has two circuits on the OVP relay, might be one is ABS only. OVP relays are known for intermittant failures. Any other symptoms?

I thought the 420 didn't have an OVP relay? (Just the 320)
No additional symptoms that relate directly to the ABS system.

Did you solve the problem?
I'm having the same code. I would clear the codes, replace the fuses in the box there... No a e420 doesn't have a OVP- that is with the pre OBI diagnostics. M |
