Any check list / advices for 4-6 month storing of W124 car in covered, no-heat garage.

For my 300CE stored as yours will be, I:

1. Increase tire pressure to 40psi (minimizes flat spots).

2. Full tank of gas (minimizes water vapor in tank).

3. Isolate battery (however you want), and hook up smart battery maintainer to it (keeps battery charged).

4. Open container of DampRid in interior.

5. Cloth bag full of Moth balls under hood (repels mice). Also place one in interior and trunk only if you strongly suspect mice will be hanging out in that garage.

wanted to use axle stands for one axle and change it each month .

I would add fuel stabilizer to the tank to keep the fuel from going bad. Run or preferably drive the car for 10 minutes so it can travel through all the fuel system components. Change the oil if it hasn't been done recently. Old oil contains moisture and contaminants that you don't want to be sitting in your engine for long periods of time.

Suggestions so far are great....

Just to add on, make sure to run the gar in the garage at idle for 10-15mins (door open of course) and let it get up to operating temperature every 2-3 weeks. Other than that, a soft indoors car cover would be great too.

Make sure you wash the car before putting it away too, very thoroughly. You don't want contaminates and pollution to eat away at the paint.

I recently awakened an '03 Honda that I had parked for 18 months without any prep other than taking out the battery. I may have started it twice during that time but it has no ill effects and it was outside during that time.
