How to remove first aid kit...
ok so i got a 1989 300E it has the first aid kit in the rear deck and wanted to remove the little hatch (thing that covers it). is there any way i can just take it off without breaking anything? just in case i put it back on in the future...

I don't think so, I don't think there is a normal type of hinge that can just be removed. I am curious why you'd want to remove it, it'd look pretty bad without the cover.

As Gilly said, no way to remove it without breaking it off.

putting in a big system in & the flap is just going to be moving everywhere so just deciding to take it off... & im putting 6x9 enclosures on the rear deck & the flap is going to be in the way...

If you are planning on using the rear deck as your baffle board I recommend against it...I did it and I had huge vibrations and it just sounded horrible. I then cut in a baffle board, which made it better but it still sucked....ended up just buying a box.

naw not gonna use it as that... just gonna place some 6x9 enclosures on top of the rear deck... gonna remove the rear speakers and leave the openings there so air can go thru...

Might be better off asking about this in the audio forum.
