Lifter Noise
 

For a week now I am getting noise from the engine. Sounds like lifter. It is there all the time. I changed the oil but the noise has not gone.
Any clue for the reason for this, and how do you identify the bad one. The noise is tic! tic! and changes with RPM.

did you change out oil filter as well?

Yes oil and filter

You know those little o rings on the filter shaft keep the oil from running back into the engine when it's off. Is your noise all the time?
