M117 intake help - parts list

I am making a list of everything I need to replace when I remove my intake manifold.

So far I have:

Seal rings X8
intake to head gaskets (L&R)
trottle housing gasket X1
*Air intake boot X1

The Air Intake boot says something about modification (maybe a recall?):
Air Intake Boot Below Air Flow Sensor NOTE: Replaces Prior Part numbers. Pre-modification cars will require additional parts.
560SEL M117.968- Note: Also Use (1) 116-141-06-45 Plate (1) 102-094-02-12 Connec

Then I see there is an "airflow sensor flange" which is rather pricey for genuine MB. Needed?

I would like to make sure I have everything on hand that can ONLY get replaced with the intake off. All the rubber hoses above have already been done!

And where can I get the clear "MB" vacuum tubing? I think at least one runs under the intake. The stuff installed is very, very brittle. On the one to the trans is new.

hi how r u? im in the process of doing the same on my 1986 560 sel. on ur 91 you shouldnt need the up grade part for the air flow boot. might check to be sure. i would think about replacing the thottle switch also. the rubber elbows on everything if u dont have them already. i got the clear tubing from ********a. dont forget the rubber mounts, all mine came apart. try to stick with factory rubber if possible. some aftermarket rubber is alittle flimsly and give you problems later. i had about 3/4 of an inch of oil. bugs, leaves, plastic parts, under my intake. it's a wonder mine didnt burst into flames lolol. to be sure i replaced eveything i could to insure longlong enjoyment of the car.

I had to buy this frame for my 85 380SL, and it was very expensive from MB and less very expensive aftermarket. Apparently the aftermarket frame (which I used) and may not have the holes tapped the same way as the MB part, but I got it to work.

It's pretty difficult to tell if you need a frame or not until you take the assembly off. The EPC MAY (may) help in this area.
