Replacing 722.3 bowden cable?

While I do a lot of other items on my 300TE next week, I know I damaged my bowden cable accidentally by stretching it because the cup keeps falling off the throttle and shifts are a little too early.

Does replacement require me to drop the pan or can it be replaced easily without?

Anybody done it?

BOWDEN TRANS CABLE

1984 300D TURBO
TAKE THE CABLE ON ENGINE OFF FIRST THAN THE TRANS CABLE TURN 90 DEGREES AND PULL OUT. TO INSTALL PUSH THE INSIDE CABLE ALL WAY AT THE ENGINE TOWARD THE TRANS, NEXT USE YOUR FINGER IN TRANS CABLE HOLE AND PULL UP AND HOOK THE END. USE THE GASKET NEXT HOOK THE
ENGINE CABLE AND ADJUST
