'01 E320 Crank Position Sensor Plug Removal
I'm changing the CPS tomorrow (P0335 code) but can't really see what's holding the plug on the sensor, any locks or tricks here? Just yank it off? I read a number of DIY posts but they concentrate on tools (got all those and then some), better safe asking than sorry breaking! Thanks for the input.

Should be a screw sort of on the side of where the connector is, remove that and it pulls straight out.

Yes, there's a torx fastener holding the sensor in the bellhousing, it's the plug/sensor interface I'm asking about. I don't want to break the plug/wire assy. pulling on it and THEN discover there was a lock of some kind holding it on the sensor, a button to push, wire to pry, latch, etc...

Sort of a plastic latch, but you just squeeze in to release it.

Thanks! Yes, a catch arrangement oriented toward the center of the car, pressed w/ fingernail and the plug came right off. All in all an easy fix, the Green Wagon rides again...
