Help Confirming 260e/300e Front Brake Part Nos.
Ordering front brake rotors, pads & sensors for my 1989 260e, and need a little help with manufacturer part numbers. Here's my list, I'd appreciate your input to avoid any mistakes:
1. Zimmermann Cross Drilled Front Brake Disc (qty = 2) P/N: W0133-1614417 2. Textar Brake Pad Set (qty = 1) P/N: W0133-1612872 3. Bowa Brake Pad Sensor (qty = 2) P/N: W0133-1642223 4. OEQ Brake Disc Set Screw (qty = 1) P/N: W0133-1643192 Also, do I need different brake pad sensors with the Textar brake pads or Zimmerman rotors? This is the first time I'm installing this combination. Lastly, does anyone know why Fastlane doesn't sell the Zimmerman rotors?

Looks good to me.
Use brake pad paste on the "contact" areas of the pads where they touch the calipers.

Steven, there is only one type brake pad wear sensor that I know of. Obviously the brake pads need the pre-drilled hole for wear sensor installation.

I've never used the paste before. Do the pads really slip around inside the calipers?

Brake paste helps with squeals & other noises.

Hey steven since you are replacing both rotors + pads, think about upgrading to 400E calipers! Bolt on no modifications required if you get it from a 92 model year! Just a little dust shield cut/bend.
Some pictures of my install My textar pads grip hard although they produce more brake dust than my previous set (OE)

Makes me wanna change-out my wheels as well, so that everyone can see the shinny rotors and hot-red calipers.
