Heater Control Illumination
Hi,
The bulbs have blown on the drivers side (RHS) of the heater controls. The white arrows still illuminate on the switches but the temp selectors don't. Is the wood trim removed by removing the screws behind the ash tray. I did remove them but the wood fascia seemed fixed, could someone point me in the correct path so I can remove the wood fascia on the center console so I can replace the bulbs in the heater controls. all the best Karl |
Year and model would greatly help. But if its like mine, the ashtray comes out. Then remove two screws. I think once that is out the wood will drop down a but then out from the bottom. However, I had my head unit out. So that may have to come out also.
Get the info on year/make and I am sure others will give more precise info. |

Well then I dont think my info helps. See! Add the vehicle to your signature. You can do so under "User CP" at upper left.

They look just about the same, I wasn't too shore about pulling the switches off but that post helps. Thanks

The wood is held by two screws just above the ashtray (124), then swing it upward to disengage the upper hooks/clips.
The bulbs are behind two pieces of tape (black or aluminum) on the face of the ACC unit. Easiest method to replace them is to insert a piece of rubber vacuum hose which will grip the bulb, pull it out with the bulb. |
So I pull off the two knobs, the fan swich and the selectors firstly then the two screws behind the ash tray ? thanks
