Help 92 400E wiring harness source

Does anybody have a good (inexpensive) source for a 92 400E wiring harness? The stealer is quoting $1100 CAD... a good previously enjoyed one would work for me...

Thanks,

Nick:eek:

Are you good with wires and solder? No way in hell I would pay that much for a harness, I would rebuild the one I had. But messing with harnesses is part of my job.

Goodluck.. I think they where $700ish in the US the last time I looked.

The Mercedes EPC shows the part number as 1245438832, up to the end of model year 1992. Have you considered sending a request to Fastlane or AllPartsExpress (above, under Buy Parts) to see if they can quote you a price on it?

Thanks guys, I have already sent in the parts request to fastlane/allparts... I might end up rewiring it myself. The only catch seems to be that you have to cut open the original connectors without damaging them too much.

There's no need to cut open any connectors. You might have some small ones crumble on you but they can be replaced for a few bucks each. But a new one is only $480 ($490 Can.) in the U.S. - not sure if they ship to Canada.

search the web u can find them from 400-600 dollars

rear low pressure hose off the rear pump is a cake walk to replace... compared to the one between the cooler and line along the - can I call it a frame rail?
The inlet and outlet on that hose are different sizes.. It's a custom molded dealer item kinda "s-shaped"- about $20-30.
